Kristen hasn’t seen her roommate, Amy, for months. It’s like living with a ghost, but things could certainly be worse. Such as when they finally meet in person again, and Kristen realizes that she’s in trouble; Amy is irresistibly adorable. After a night out together, the connection is undeniable but Amy is still unsure. She’s never wanted a woman before.
Can Amy overcome her trepidation and awkwardness? Let’s hope so.
Will Kristen get her roommate into bed? We’re certainly rooting for her.

They watched the movie in silence for a while before she couldn’t let it lay anymore. She turned to Amy, an entreating look on her face. “I’m sorry, did I do something? Was it putting my arm on your shoulders? I swear I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
Amy lowered her head, letting her hair fall forward over her face. “No, it’s fine. I didn’t…” her voice was halting, “I didn’t think you were making a pass or anything. I just started to feel like—I don’t know—I guess I don’t know how to act.”
“What do you mean?”
“Like, you’re so nice and friendly, and talking to you seems so natural. Then I remember that you’re…” She trailed off again. “And I get this momentary thought of like ‘what if she’s just being nice because—you know what I mean, right?”
Kristen sighed. “I’m really sorry if I’ve been giving you the impression that…”
“No, it’s nothing you’re doing.” Amy frowned at herself. “You’re just nice.”
Not just nice, Kristen thought, but I’m hoping it’s not showing.
“I’m just too in my head about it.” Amy continued. “I don’t know why.”
“Would it help if I told you that I’m not attracted to you?”
There was a long pause. Amy pinned her lower lip between her teeth. Her eyes scanned the floor as if looking for the answer there. At last, she looked up at Kristen and opened her mouth to speak, stopped before making a sound, and tried to hunker down between her shoulders.
“No,” she finally spoke. “I don’t think it would. Can I ask a weird question?”
“Sure, I suppose.”
“Do you ever find yourself attracted to a guy? Like, not all guys, just one. Just that this one person whom you wouldn’t normally go for just sort of makes you go all wobbly inside. Do you ever get that?”
“I understand the sentiment, but I can’t say it’s happened.” Kristen furrowed her brow. “Wait, are you saying the problem is that you think you might be attracted to me?”
Amy’s pale cheeks were darkening to a cherry red. “Sorry, maybe. I don’t know.”
Kristen swallowed and considered her options. There was no need for her to press the issue, Amy could make up her own mind on this sort of thing. Still, nothing was ever gained without risking a little as well. She leaned a little toward Amy.
“If you decide maybe you are, let me know and I’ll be happy help you be sure.”
